Weekend Retreat

I had the opportunity to go with 5 other ladies to the coast this weekend. Our friend has a family cabin on the river front about a mile from the coast.  We packed up the cars and left around 1 on Friday and returned on Sunday afternoon.  It was a perfectly peaceful weekend filled with conversation, relaxation, tons of good food, crafts and sight seeing.  We left in drizzly weather and woke up to clear skies and warm temperatures, and that is saying a lot for the Oregon Coast! 

I saw these guys and just loved the way they looked, in their wetsuits surfing in the cold temps of the north.  You couldn't pay me enough to get in that water!

We watched huge Chinook Salmon being pulled from the river.

We also watched Dory boats come in through the surf and right up onto the sand, and citified mini vans get stuck in the sand and locals help dig him out.  It was hilarious!

It truly was a wonderful weekend!
