Every once in a while I wonder if I am doing my best as a mom. Am I giving my girls the education they need? Am I short changing them at all? Am I adequately teaching them God's word, and more importantly the message of the gospel? I'm I doing everything in my power to prepare them for adulthood in this world, and for eternity with Christ? The answer is... there is always room for improvement. But occasionally the Lord allows me a glimpse into the future, possibly, and at least allows me to see some fruit in my children. He also allows my children to teach me.
Yesterday morning Belle woke up with a temperature. She was miserable, so she crawled into my bed tagging along her comfort items: pillow, snuggly blanket, water bottle, and bible. What a sweet gift it was to see that her bible would be amongst her comfort items, and such a lesson for me!Today she decided that she wanted to read the Joseph story. At dinner tonight I decided to ask her if she had learned anything new today about the life of Joseph. She said yes. I asked what it was, to which she replied, Veggie Tales leaves so much out!
Thank you Lord for the privilege to raise such a beautiful young lady.
