Full of Christmas

Here is my series of Christmas photos for this year. There will likely be more but it will have to wait until we return. We are taking a trip to Disneyland for the first time with our girls. We are so excited! We are leaving on Sunday and will return next Saturday.

This is Mr. Rabbit. I used to not really care for the blown glass ornaments but now I love them. They are by far my favorite, unless they are the homemade ones from my girls.

I used to live in NYC so when I saw this checker cab I knew I had to have it. Lucky for me it was after Christmas so I got a good deal on it.

Each year I buy the girls an ornament so when they move out (when they are old) they can take their ornaments with them. This sock monkey was last years ornament. They usually get different ones, but they all loved this guy and chose him. You see the lifesavers int he background? They are fake. My Grandmother had them on her tree and I was enamored with them as a child. My mom found these several years later, and then last year she gave them to me. I love them.

This santa was on our tree when I was a child. My mom let me take him too. I love how skinny and old he is.

This is the top of our piano. I have not had a piano to decorate before. I love the simplicity and the Willow Tree Nativity is by far my favorite. Now if I can only splurge and get the rest of the pieces.

This was the first nativity I bought. We went several years before I bought one. I don't have any particular attachment to this one other than it was the first and it was cheap.

My mantle is tiny, narrow...like 6 inches...which doesn't afford me much decorating room. We had our tree trimmed the other day and as the branches were littered all over the lawn I ran outside and snagged a few, grabbed the silver metallic spray paint and sprayed away. A little red ribbon and pretty white angel completes this look.

My mom bought each of the girls a stocking when they were born. I made Jeep's and my stocking the first year we were married. I had no idea at the time what I would like today. I would not have chosen this particular look but since I made them and we've had them for 14 Christmases there is no reason to change them now.

A few years ago we got together with some friends to make these cute little nativities. Each of the girls have one. I think we got the idea from Family Fun if you want to look for it.

Here is my attempt to make my window festive. The ornaments came from Pottery Barn, but how easy would it be to make these?

My china hutch revamped into Christmas. I took my floral tea cups down and put up my china tea cups. I bought some pretty Christmas tree plates at T.J. Maxx. They were cheap and added exactly what I was looking for.

I've jumped on the burlap bandwagon and made this little Joy pillow. I also repurposed a goodwill wool sweater into this festive pillow. I love the color and it was so easy to make! That is it for now. This must be my record of the most photos in a post! See you all next week after we return.
