Tonight we went to our local outdoor shopping center for the tree lighting ceremony. Music, cookies, hot cocoa and good friends jump start this Christmas season. The best part of the ceremony is the prayer, in public, for all to hear. Loved it!
They have this cute red sleigh that is just perfect for the family photo. This is not my Christmas picture although it would have been a good one.
We went to get our tree yesterday with my family. It is all set up and decorated. I got tired of fighting with the old tree lights, trying to get them to work. So I replaced them with some LED lights and I really don't like them. They are too bright but not sparkly. I've started decorating and I will post pictures when I get things all set up.
The girls found out that we are going to Disneyland next week. It was fun to surprise them. I just started my Christmas shopping. How about you? Are you finished? Have you started? Ordering them all online? Or venturing out to the stores? Most of mine I will shop for locally. I don't have much to order online. The girls pretty much get their gift in Disneyland, but I can't help but want to make a few small things to open on Christmas.

Great picture! We're going to get our tree this week, and shopping is *mostly* done. We're going away for Christmas this year so it will be kid of different, but fun anyway.
I haven't started yet. Sad. but I'm lame that way. ;)
I DO have our stockings up and a small nativity scene already set up. That's good for me. OH! and I bought a real wreath from the Boy Scouts, so I guess I'm pretty much done. :)

nada in the decor department so far. we are going out of town on thursday so there's a pretty good chance that we will be halfway into december before the tree is up. and at that point, there is almost no point to it if we are leaving on the 21st until after christmas, is there?

so when will the girls start packing their bags for disney?
