I just finished a Kaya costume for Phi. I worked on a fairy costume for Belle, and my goofy Bobo is putting together a pirate costume for next weekend. This is the second year they have dressed up for this upcoming dreaded holiday. I absolutely hate it. But the girls want candy and I'm hoping they will share with me. Hey, maybe I'll charge for these costumes. They can pay me in candy.
I'm trying to learn to use my camera, taking it out and experimenting with it. Not learning really fast though! LOL
Today we skipped out on church and small group. It was great...a quiet day with no agenda, no rushing around trying to get to church, rushing around fixing our part of the shared meal for small group. Sundays are usually really crazy, hectic, stressful. It was so nice to just rest today. We all worked on projects, me sewing, Jeep working on my bench for my entry way, the girls painted and played outside. They made beautiful fall pictures.
I'm thinking about Thanksgiving...planning my menu since my parents and sister are coming. Also planning for Christmas...gift lists, cards (which are done and waiting to be addressed), homemade crafts for giving to friends etc.
Anyone thinking about Christmas? Simplicity is my goal. What about you?

wo - you're cards are almost all ready to go....already?! impressive.
Hey - if you e-mail me your new address, I'll pick up a copy of the booklet I got the Pumpkin Yeast Bread recipe from. There's others in there you might enjoy too.
Since we are going to visit my sister in California for Christmas, I haven't given it much thought. I think simple at home with David's parents before we go. And Christmas shopping will be via Amazon.com and shipped directly to my sister's house. I'll just wrap them when I get there! (I love Amazon Prime. It has been worth every penny. Maybe I love it too much.)
I have been thinking about Christmas cards and a family picture. I was thinking about having one of the boys holding a framed picture of Christian for our family photo. What do you think? Will it be too sad or do you think it will be nice?
